I have several objections, but mainly: the blog implies the wins were due to superior strategic reasoning, when in fact there are critical confounds such as direct observation, precision control and timing etc. Much more mundane explanations cannot be ruled out by this evidence.

Ok, I think I agree with the last statement, they really hype their achievements too much (and everyone else too). But they didn't really mislead about what they were doing. They never hid that they used the API, that's exactly why they had the last game.
