I think there is nothing controversial in this post. But it’s unclear what exactly counts as “Deep Learning”, which makes the discussion about limits almost useless. I'm hoping that the AI community might stop using the term "deep learning" at some point, because it doesn't really mean anything. At best, it appears to be poorly-conceived marketing hype. At worst, it leads to unproductive arguments.
