This isn't a hill I'll die on, but I've just noticed myself feeling like 100x more compelled by critiques like Fodor & Pylyshyn '88, your '98, etc., than by adversarial images and "fooling".
They are actually of a piece, as I will explain when I post on Medium tomorrow.
Certainly the objections are consistent with one another, if that's what you mean. But at the same time, it seems to me that they can stand and fall independently; eg classical objections could remain even if adversarial image problem were solved. Anyway, I'll look forward to it.
