To be fair, employing an opposition research team of their critics doesn't necessarily mean they produced any fake news, but it is nevertheless troublesome that a company with such influence over democratic discourse would exhibit such a proactive political bias

Ah, I see. When they say “linking” do they mean “uncovering a link” or “falsifying a link”. I assumed the former, but I guess that wasn’t entirely clear.
