The AI should be up to snuff but also the programming languages used too. It is irresponsible to code any self driving car in Python/C.

Assuming we're basically discovering that driving requires most or all our cognitive capabilities, even if many are needed only infrequently, could we expedite full autonomy (from the passenger's perspective) by pushing harder on the "periodic teleoperation" side of things?
