I agree that those are still good arguments, but your response seems to me to be too pessimistic about the odds of overcoming these issues in neural networks.
they don’t do enough to speak against it, and their models still hover towards the empiricist side of the spectrum. neural networks with variables might offer some hope, as i have long suggested.
