The problem is that you have no idea what kind of innateness (a framework) is at work in the brain. Your position is not particularly informative: the brain exists, therefore innateness. Duh.

Moreover, bringing in GOFAI in to AI research is about as stupid as it gets. We don't need to fix deep learning with symbolic AI. We need to throw it out completely precisely because representationalism (DNNs learn representations of patterns) IS symbolic AI.
