I don’t personally doubt the truth of her story. But if you tell a number of people a story about your car being stolen, we wouldn’t normally describe those people’s recounting of that story as “corroboration of your claims.”
If you think reporting a sexual assault is as trivial as reporting a stolen car, you are delusional. The important point here is that people who are willing to testify under oath were told about the incidents years before the SC nomination.

And we should believe them because of what again? Is it because they are getting financial rewards from others? Besides, being told about something is second-hand knowledge which could be false. It does not make you a witness to the claimed incident. How lame.

To imagine they’re lying would require a pretty elaborate conspiracy, and is not plausible. Even accounts of Kavenaugh-friendly witnesses match the timeline. The scenario where they’re telling the truth fits known explanations easily. He does seem like an asshole.
