I blame the curse of dimensionality for empty space, not deep learning :)
this is hilarious... but somehow humans have extrapolated to art, philosophy and science etc despite the apparent curse of dimensionally. maybe that’s a hint that that the current ML approach isn’t quite the right way of thinking about going beyond data into things that are new.
