Better to leave it with that great ending than pursue a second season solely because fans want it, and not because you actually have a story to tell.

Hard agree. Listened to an interview with Damon and he said he never had any intention of doing a second season because he told his story and didn’t have another to tell in that world.

It was a perfect show. And a ton of people liked it. Not every series need 8 episodes to tell a complete story.

Disappointed there won't be more but kudos for Damon to say he's said what he wanted to say and to move on. So many shows wear out their welcome trying to recapture magic of a story that ran its course.
