A huge increase in shootings has forced LBPD to redirect officers from other tasks to focus only on gun violence. After 51 officers were cut in the budget, resources are already thin. Moving officers from one area to another will have an impact on other parts of public safety.

This is one of the reasons why California politicians have lost credibility. The governor says he's going to send in strike teams for enforcement, but he's doing nothing about this protest with lack of social distancing and lack of masks.

LAPD just posted this photo of people protesting tonight. People are messaging me, asking how this is allowed, with no social distancing, when hours ago Governor @GavinNewsom said we shouldn’t even see our family for a July 4th gathering this weekend, unless we live with them.

Is anyone wondering why "essential" businesses are allowed to sell non-essential items, but non-essential businesses are not allowed to open and sell the same items? So basically it's okay to shop in a corporate big box store but we can't support local small businesses...

The County of Los Angeles has closed tennis courts, but they want my daughter to keep coming to county offices instead of working from home. And she has an administrative job that can easily be done remotely. Go figure. #LosAngelesCounty
