Unusual for Apple to defend design decisions like this. Problem is most people who transfer pictures want that SDhttp://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/features/apple-macbook-pro-new-philip-schiller-interview-phil-iphone-ios-criticism-a7393156.html …

The only CF camera I still use is my 7D MKii, and even it has an SD in it (unlike the 7D)

I'm not saying the Fuji not is Pro, but even if it is, it's not the majority of Pro cameras.

I’d bet dinner Fuji XT-2 units are bigger than Canon 1D units in sales. fun question.

I'd even doubt sales today but that isn't even the unit to measure, it's how many "Pro" cams in use are CF or SD?

thinking about it, the real answer is: how many CF cards sell, vs. SD? And SD clearly blows it away.

Doesn't matter - the topic is Pro equipment for a Pro armed laptop. SD cards used by prosumer or non camera doesn't matter

except that’s where most of the sales come from, which benefit the “true” pro user indirectly.

Having an SD slot is decidedly “pro” and useful. Helpful to card swap and reliably and quickly pull pics off an SD card

blame the camera makers not Apple .. the SD slot was outdated & was going wireless anyways

Sort of makes you wonder if the pre-order figures are already underwhelming compared to other product launches... #MacBookPro
