Because the 2009 Swine Flu killed 12,469 people, less than a typical influenza. We're up to 11-times that many dead, and still counting.

This is a bad take because it ignores the extra 130,000 Americans who have died in less than half as much time. More than 11x as many deaths already. That’s why this virus gets more attention.

Agreed tragically many more deaths. Doesn’t diminish 13,000 deaths from Swine Flu. Influenza yearly deaths 30-60,000 WITH vaccine. 40 MILLION cases yet no (church) closures, masks,etc. No tickers. Media coverage is totally different-no question.
