Green Iguanas are from Central and South America and the Caribbean, not Florida. I'm not aware of major ecological impacts but they do mess up landscaping and stuff like that. There's some evidence they have eaten sensitive species. So they fit the definition of invasive. t.co/tu31KDewdb

Horrible invasive pests. No more welcome than brown rats. They eat native plants, disperse seeds of invasive plants, disturb nesting birds, and excavate & destabilize banks of waterways. They should be eradicated from Florida.
