  4. While painting an outside window frame, two squawking Ring-necked parakeets flew low over the garden. Then I spotted this little one crouching behind the bird bath... a lovely evening 😁

  5. The new web site is up and running and should be easier to use on mobile devices. Just a couple of features are not yet working: search (I've not yet re-indexed site) and the quiz needs new software writing, which may not be done for a couple of weeks.

  7. And by the time Twitter sent the Tweet, I'd finished it 😕 Besides Meadow Pipits, Red Grouse, Skylark, Snipe, Curlew and Lapwing, there was Short-eared owl, Buzzard, Ring Ouzel and Stonechat ☺

    With their swept back wings and their aerial lifestyle hirundines (Swallow, Sand and House Martins) and the similar, but unrelated, Swift often cause ID headaches. If you're not confident on the ID features this ID video will help:

  11. Blackcaps singing in trees opposite my office window - first I've heard this year 😊 Also Grey Wagtail singing and seemingly staking out his territory on the flat roofs - they need successfully last year 😁
