I think it's all part of the general push YouTube has been doing towards large, mainstream companies and abandoning independent creators. I believe absolutely nothing they claim about caring for creators. CEO made a video saying they believe in "open creativity." My ass they do.
Sure they have an insane amount of content, but if people keep giving YouTube a pass just for being too big and not having enough people, why would they ever improve how they're handling the site? Creators have to speak out

You're subjecting yourself to their guidelines as a partner. If you follow their guidelines and are still being demonetized it should be called out loudly. They can choose to respond or not but they're the ones looking really badly over it, and that reputation is growing.
