Pretty impressive how everyone is suddenly a coaching expert following those NA coaches announcement. I don't think anyone can assess the worth of a coach without having directly worked with him. The rest is PR.

And my point still stands, I don't think you can evaluate if they are good or not without working directly with them in the first hand.
We are able to evaluate through our application and interview process prior to accepting coaches, but there are certainly individuals who thrive more when showing rather than telling.

And the people running the selection process have themselves a track record of coaching LoL pro teams at the highest level I suppose? If not the selection process is irrelevant, but if they do I guess it would be possible.

We have a team of people who review applications and yes some of them have a history of coaching, and playing at the pro level. That said, the ability to select good coaches does not hinge on having coached but having the ability to select the best coaches.
