    Recognise this: experiences of domestic abuse can happen for + folks the same way they happen for anyone else but sexual identity & gender orientation may also be exploited to gain power & control. Both are true.

    Insecure immigration status can add to the already huge stress of experiencing abuse. People with spousal visas have protections under UK law & no one should ever use threats to make you stay with them.
