We've had talks on - off-the-shelf tools to prototype sokoban games - lots of ways to use splines - pipelines to test and back-up game code - mental tools to reframe story in a way that makes it interactive - using physical MIDI sliders to tune magic numbers and more!

I'd try to think about - can I talk meaningfully for ±7 mins about this? - can other people use the idea, or be influenced by the technique? - did it influence the game outside of being included in it? - can you use it as a jumping off point for an idea that's bigger?

I spent most of the year making money not indie games. :S BUT did get to support a pipeline for an animation studio and learned a bunch about sysadmin and how to turn your studio workstations into render nodes. I also started a scripting lang on top of Lua, based on Irish (WHY?!)
