A small question: at her core Poison Ivy is about feminism, environmentalism, the queer identity and social activism. Despite that she's mostly ignored. Do you think its a feat of dealing with these subjects? Or something else?

There are powerful, relevant stories about the above topics (as well as mental illness, as shown by Gail Simone) that could be told with Poison Ivy as a lead - but they’re stories that confront societal norms and economic interests that are hard for many to tackle meaningfully.

This may be reductionist, but is it possible to play her as a villain, as opposed to an antagonist or misunderstood anti-hero, and get the same positive response from folks about her?

Also I dont see this argument for Lobo, Clayface, Man Bat, Killer Croc, Joker or Luthor. Who all of them have been heroes and members of the JLA in the past year. I'm not dismissing your point, just curious.
