Why don't men take advantage of paid leave? Over half of men say caregiving "isn't manly." We're long overdue to stop seeing caring as a role for women and a weakness in men. Caring is a role for all and a strength in all.

This primer on power analysis is a nice, concise guide, from t-tests to mediation. I've always had to do a lot of searching through power analysis blogs whenever planning a new study. They even made the code available. Yay for helpful statisticians!

Number talk exploring magnitude - placing the numbers 1, 2, 5, 8, and 10 on an open line. Where would you place each number? Why? It was fascinating to hear children’s justification of their choices and learn about their number knowledge and confidence.
