Microsoft is literally on the same path than Disney, building an empire by buying and gathering mega-groups... and if you ask, I'm not sure that's a great thing for this industry.
I guess we'll have to see on the longer term. #Bethesda

Well that was last year's rumor, right after Sony had bought Insomniac (there also were rumors that Sony would buy Remedy). I just don't see Microsoft buying 2 major publishers a few days apart, not even Sega who seems to be doing well

Oh but they have, especially regarding Shenmue and Phantasy Star Online, and it's why I believe such a deal is not that unlikely.https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/91801/Sega_And_Microsoft_Announce_New_Partnership.php …

I forgot about them indeed. But Shenmue is more linked to Sony now, and so are Yakuza and more. SEGA is not even all about games, they have arcades rooms and a big pachinko business in Japan. To me, it just seems that people are getting excited and ready to believe anything.

Must admit though there are some truly suspicious things.. the "Shock Blue" controller (same name than the Sonic-themed Addidas shoes) which is the first time MS has unveiled a different pad color at launch, noticeably, is... surprising.

I found it curious but not suspicious tbh
