In a way, I think we wouldn't have profited so much of this epilogue if there wasn't a full-fledged adventure leading to it. I think I love both games equally. GR1 had this mystical atmosphere that you were diving into. Discovering a universe for the first time is always special.

But its ending was so disappointing... GR2 felt far more emotional & epic to me, in great part thanks to its epilogue. Plus, they refined many elements from the first one. So, in the end, I'd say GR2 is a better game overall. GR1 was amazing, especially on Vita.

But I agree, I'm pretty sure the epilogue is the narrative the author wanted to develop in a third & final episode of what should have been in a trilogy. You can feel they put everything they could into GR2 'cause they knew it would probably be the last episode :(

That pretty much sums it up. imo the first parts of the game often bored me or at least failed to interest me as much as I'd like :( I would'nt say that the ending of GR1 was disappointing, I'd say that it teased an epic sequel! But without that epilogue, we would'nt have it :(

I'm still confused about GR2. I truly loved some parts of it, and was deeply disappointed by some others. In a way, it's not the game I was expecting and I think the IP deserved better. But it's also pretty damn cool and the ending is absolutely wonderful.

To me, it really feels like their plans for GR2 were severely affected during production, and they probably realized a trilogy would not be possible. You can feel this is a (heavily?) reworked project in the end, but it still manages to be great, and that ending was perfect so...

Yeah I surely don't blame the team, of course. But as a fan I still feel disappointed. I truly would have loved a third one :(

So do I... it's such a wonderful universe and a unique franchise in gaming history. I don't understand how players could leave it bomb like that. Maybe it should've remained on Vita, for its own good. But we can't blame the team for being more ambitious.

Yeah, maybe. I understand why the PS4's sequel of a Vita game released 5 years ago didn't attract more players. Or maybe it shouldn't have been on Vita at all, since it was at first a PS3 game before Sony looked for first party vita games.

Hmm, since it sold really well on Vita and made smart use of the console's specificities, I'd say their choice was a good one. But indeed, I'd be curious to see how it'd have performed on PS3, sales-wise.

Yeah... It could also have been another Sly 4 flop ^^'
