    I have gone through every incident of the 26 murdered trans people in 2018. What is called an "epidemic" of racist transphobic violence in America is untrue. Nearly all of the victims are trans women of color killed by black & brown men in violent neighborhoods/cities.

    This can’t be right because many of my esteemed, sophisticated, and educated colleagues do not in the least bit engage in a hyperbolic caricature of SS Himmler Trump.

    Is America’s partisan divide due to ignorance? And, if so, might education or exposure to political news fix the problem? Depressingly, the data implies the opposite: The more Americans know, and the fancier their degree, the more they are likely to caricature their opponents.
