Bit weird you think its a nixos thing, and not a letsencrypt goodness. I renewed a cert in 5min in a docker non nixos system not later than previous week ...

In NixOS I just set one flag (enableAcme = true) on a nginx virtual host and I get all three of generation/renewal/serving the certificate

I’m a lot more fascinated by the fact that you managed to set up a hydra instance. :D

You can see my current setup here in the `./nixops` directory: https://github.com/dhall-lang/dhall-haskell/tree/gabriel/hydra … I'm going to create a pull request against the `dhall-lang` repository once I've ironed everything out

Actually, I just realized that the `enableAcme` option underneath `nginx` automatically sets up `security.acme.certs` for you

I hope it's better than last time I used that module. So many bugs. I filed like three. Stopped renewing at random. Breaking changes in the stable channel that made it lose all my certificates.. ugh. Should all be fixed now though :)

double this. NixOS just gives an impression "it's so reproducible, I've configured it once and it would stay so forever", but the truth is "you don't even imagine how many strange, often non-reproducible, things happen underneath your NixOS"
