I’m devastated over last night’s attack against the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs. Club Q was described as a fun and inclusive local venue, a place to escape hate, discrimination, and violence. This sense of refuge was obliterated in a hail of bullets.

"Even as five innocent people in Colorado Springs went into a space that was supposed to be safe for them & came out in body bags, the attacks have continued. We can be better than that. We have to be better than that." Hear testify in Congress w/ Club Q survivors:

Isaiah Marquez-Greene, now 18 years old, survived the Sandy Hook shooting, but his younger sister, Ana Grace, was killed. In a note to his younger self, he reflects on his sister’s legacy: “Imagining who she would be if she were still here will keep her alive in your heart.”

In 10 years, we’ve built a movement that rivals the gun lobby & fights for a safer future. I’m proud of the work does every day, including passing the 525 gun safety state laws in this report. It shows just how far our movement has come.

Ten years ago, 26 precious lives were taken in one of the most horrific mass shootings in US history. In the years since, too many Americans have lost their lives or had their lives altered by gun violence. But we’ve also made progress.

Ten years ago today, 20 children & six educators were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. A decade later and school shootings are worse and active shooter drills are the norm. Our children deserved better then and they still do now. We will never stop fighting for a safer future.

Ten years since Sandy Hook. Ten years since we failed to keep 20 children and six educators safe. We were heartbroken. But we were united in our anger and determination to make change. Today and always, I'm standing with Newtown, and I will never stop fighting for you.

Senator is a devoted and determined public servant who works tirelessly to ensure the safety of communities across Georgia. I am overjoyed that Georgians used their voices to send Senator Warnock back to Washington DC for a full term.

Senator @ReverendWarnock just won his run-off election! Georgia rejected Herschel Walker’s lies and reelected gun safety champion Senator Warnock. He's always stood for safety—and we’ve been proud to support him every step of the way.

I am proud to endorse my friend for the Colorado State House! As president of our Gun Owners for Safety Colorado chapter, he has always pushed those in power to act. I know Victor will use his experience as a gun owner to make Colorado safer.

One year ago today, four students were killed and seven others were injured by a 15-year-old student at Oxford High School in Michigan. The shooter was a known threat to himself and others, but his parents bought him a gun anyway. We will always honor their lives with action.

We have made a decision to saturate this nation with weapons, without any regard for a person’s fitness to own a tool of potential mass murder. It doesn’t have to be this way. We could - and must - choose a different reality.

These are not isolated incidents. The nation is still reeling from the attack at Club Q in Colorado Springs. Yesterday a Chesapeake Walmart became the site of the latest tragedy. But tomorrow can be different. We can and MUST do more to protect our communities from gun violence.

This week is meant for gathering with family. Instead, six families have lost loved ones and an entire community has been turned on its head by the actions of yet another mass shooter. My heart aches for those who were killed, injured, and traumatized by this shooting.

When and I married 15 years ago, I didn’t know how quickly “in sickness and in health” would become our reality. I didn’t know that gun safety would become my life’s work—while Mark would be the one to go on to represent Arizona as senator.
