Do you not know of examples of many people, high ranking people, all saying the same thing, and all saying it based on the same wrong evidence? We both know all the BS happening in the left, where all media just parrot things as facts.

I think we're going round in circles. The only way out of this is for you to provide solid evidence that Netanyahu is right and everyone else is wrong. Otherwise, I think this discussion has run its course.

I agree that "evidence" as you described, is a dead end. But I asked you about motives, which I don't think is a dead end. Do you think Iran would like to have nuclear weapons?

Iran itself is just a tract of land. But if you're asking me if Iran's leaders would like nukes, I guess some probably would, and others (such as Rouhani) would not.

ok, I accept that we are talking about leaders not land (but as you pointed out on another occasion, we sometimes write in shorthand)

Why do you think Rouhani would not, and do you think that those that do have authority to pursue it? (asking 2 questions at once just to speed things up :-))

Rouhani just doesn't strike me as possessing the kind of warlike personality that would desire nukes. Personally, I think Iran's religious leaders have realised that the 12th Imam ain't coming, and are now just looking for a way out, while defending their political interests.

Do you think their political interests (even excluding religion) would not be served by having nukes? And even more by the world believing they would use them? (regardless if they would or wouldn't). Would that not increase their bargaining power in ANY conflict?

Possibly. But we can't know for sure. We can't even be sure what their motives actually are. So speculating on this kind of stuff is rather pointless.

I think these speculations are among the LEAST pointless. To me is seams quite self evident that Iran would gain enormous power and influence by having nukes and even just pretending to have a will to use them, and I think they have clearly show their will for influence.

They would gain a lot more by not risking the reimposition of sanctions by trying in vain to fool US drones, satellites, SIGINT, HUMINT, neighbouring states, and regular visits from IAEA inspectors.

So, you believe Iran could not circumvent all safety measures with a high degree of confidence at not being caught? (and note "caught" means convincing EVERYONE)

Creating nuclear weapons is not something you can keep secret from a country like the US, let alone from the whole of NATO.
