By arbitrary I'm talking about the laws imposed on them by Christian conservatives, among others. Didn't think they'd (you'd?) stand for that. And yeah, I've skimmed through LaVey's Satanic Bible. It was an interesting read. But it's not for me.

Again, felons can be members, they just aren't promoted to being able to represent and speak for the organisation Can you see why an organisation which is constantly accused of being rapists, paedophiles, murderers and cannibals would have a policy like that?

That's not the reason your co-religionist gave though. He quoted your church's founder:https://twitter.com/PragmtcSanction/status/988682543892328448 …

Except that quote isn't in reference to modern law, but a hypothetical scenario. In the rest of that paragraph he speaks about his dissatisfaction with the current government, although he blames it on their constituents.

Satanism is an organisation based in law and order, but not blindly. A Satanist dissatisfied with a law will work to change it

Satanism also seems to adhere to the principle that "might is right". Your church's founder speaks fawningly of the infamous Ragnar Redbeard book, from which he developed your Satanic Bible. This makes your church antithetical to my own beliefs.

Okay, so you never had any faith in satanism to begin with, you were entirely ignorant of what we stood for and just THOUGHT you knew. That's on no one's head but your own, all of this information is publicly available. Also, that's irrelevant to if this policy is an issue.

Are you disputing that Might is Right is a crucial influence on your bible?

No? I'm saying that's irrelevant to whether or not this policy is an issue. However, I will say it's not the only influence, and you've already made some poor assumptions based on the idea that it is.

The "poor assumptions" are taken from quotes by your church's leader.
