I'm still not certain that Assad was behind the chemical attack in Syria. He's certainly capable of it, but so are Jaysh al-Islam, the US-backed jihadi group that carried out a chemical attack in Sheikh Maqsood (but which went under the news radar). More investigation needed.
Ah yes, sorry, 2017. Certainly, signs point to Assad, but the evidence is all shaky and circumstantial. Not yet concrete enough to use as a basis for military action, imo.

It's very hard to get an absolute proof in these cases where it's not even safe for inspectors to go. I haven't checked other allegations, but I don't think Khan Shaykun is the only case where evidence points strongly at Assad having used CW.
