I'm still not certain that Assad was behind the chemical attack in Syria. He's certainly capable of it, but so are Jaysh al-Islam, the US-backed jihadi group that carried out a chemical attack in Sheikh Maqsood (but which went under the news radar). More investigation needed.

The evidence from the UN-OPCW JIM report on Khan Shaykun sarin attack says "Leadership Panel is confident that the Syrian Arab Republic is responsible..." so they have form. Only Assad's forces are believed to have access to sarin which is v hard to make.pic.twitter.com/HseKs1j3FV

Yes, this refers to the 2013 attack. The recent attack may have been sarin, though this hasn't yet been confirmed (and, even if it was sarin, it's still not conclusive proof of the perpetrator). The likeliest candidate is indeed Assad, but he's by no means the only candidate.
