I think that all hate ultimately comes from a lack of empathy, which itself comes from ignorance.

But isn't that the whole point? As in, consider the message, not the messenger. A well informed person can be guilty of an opinion that can be problematic just as much as a relative uninformed person having a rather interesting one?

When you combine that with the much-exploited Dunning-Kruger effect, you get folks with opinions not based on any facts, but believing their opinions are as valid as those based facts. It then follows that facts supporting those opinions are true, whereas contrary facts are false

Everyone should have an opinion, and they should strive towards feeling a sense of pride about them. It takes hard work, and lot of learning and experiencing to feel a sense of confidence in one's opinion, and most of whom we refer to "feeling a sense of worthiness"..... (contd.)

...a "misplaced" one that is, often are insecure about their opinions. For e.g., those folks who "experts" classify as "fanboys". It takes a great deal of hardwork to earn that sense of security in one's opinion, and a platform that encourages everybody is only good, no?
