I can’t seem to find my place. Not really sure why. I think my life does not line up at all with the life that’d make me happiest. I never worked hard enough to get there.

I hope you find what you’re looking for. You’re smart and very young. I think you will.

I'm older than I look. So old, in fact, that I don't want to tell you how old. Even so, I'm not going to let it stop me seeking a better life. Nothing motivates like slipping time!

Hmmm, I’m 37. You can’t be older than me. You look so young! It does give me hope that I’m not alone in these feelings. I get depressed. I have bad days but for some reason I never lose hope. As long as I’m alive, I’m going to keep trying.

You're not alone - I get depressed about this too. (For the record, I'm close to your age - only a couple years younger.) I wasted so much of my twenties on useless trifles, and I regret it every day. In any case, there's still time for us to change, but it has to be done now!

You are helping. It's always reassuring to hear the thoughts of someone older on this topic. And you are right; regret in itself helps no one, and anyway it's entirely possible that if I'd chosen my dream path through life it would've culminated in me being hit by a car at 24!
