As cameras permeate the world, people become more aware of being watched, and act less like themselves and more like how they wish to seem. When there are enough cameras watching, when all is awash in limelight, perhaps the mask will become the face, and life will become theatre.
Perhaps. I was thinking, maybe cameras aren't even needed. Maybe the gaze of other people is sufficient to stop us being ourselves.
