In the future, each tweet is automatically accompanied by a detailed breakdown of the emotions the tweeter felt when sending the tweet. Is this a welcome opportunity to provide context to tweets, or an unwelcome infringement of privacy?
Yeah, struck me as odd, too. Seems people are less interested in understanding others than in stopping people from understanding them!

That’s not how I see it: it’s not about stopping others from understanding you exactly, it’s more about the danger of some technical device that can automatically read you - that strikes me as something that has the potential to be incredibly dangerous

I see. On that I certainly share your concerns - mind-reading is hella scary. But the technology for it is rapidly advancing, and given how Google, Facebook etc like to steal our browsing data for advertisers, they might find the actual contents of our heads irresistible...
