Every human is over 99.5% genetically identical to every other human. It's a real bummer that we're blinded to our miraculous similarities, but are quick to notice miniscule differences.

99.5% similarity is a fairly tenuous link to commonality of qualia when so many of those percentage points have nothing to do with that.

Qualia depend wholly on the makeup of the brain, and all the little moving parts like potassium pumps & sodium channels that you referenced. But yeah, I probably shouldn't have chosen genetics to make my point, as people don't immediately link commonality of experience with genes
