A Tory government in disarray, but the conservatives will (be forced to) remember before too long what values they should be upholding

I'm not sure politicians of any stripe can uphold values, at least not any more. It's up to the people. Thankfully, as Sam alluded to, the people are saner than the elites, and I'm confident we'll hold this country up no matter what.

The people are the ones electing politicians! I’m hopeful: even if Corbyn acts like he’s in already in power, he actually isn’t. This crazy militant isn’t even a politician but an activist - his day of reckoning will come

Yes, it's tricky. I completely understand your misgivings about Corbyn. But at the same time Tory cuts to benefits are killing disabled people, and they are helping turn Turkey into a police state and Yemen into a catastrophe. It seems like a lose-lose at the moment.

Yeah, I understand, Nathalie. I have no real faith in Corbyn. But I'm honestly struggling to get over what the Tory cuts have done - 120,000 sick, injured and disabled people have died as a result of their policies. I just cant forgive them for that. http://blogs.bmj.com/bmjopen/2017/11/15/health-and-social-care-spending-cuts-linked-to-120000-excess-deaths-in-england/ …
