I think it makes sense for the brand of the business to try and limit trolls. A main feature of trolls is to diminish others' online experience. Limiting that seems completely fair game - almost their fiduciary responsibility.

Self replicating bots? Besides, it seems to me Twitter has a responsibility to make the best environment possible for the most people. It seems reasonable that many others would not feel as you do.

I completely agree that Twitter should work to remove bots et al. But that's completely different to Twitter taking an editorial position, which is what its banning/unverifying of people who air the wrong opinions amounts to.

Twitter can remove a verification from anyone for whatever reason it wants. It says as much in the first sentence of the notice.
