I completely agree that Twitter should work to remove bots et al. But that's completely different to Twitter taking an editorial position, which is what its banning/unverifying of people who air the wrong opinions amounts to.

Banning "Inciting or engaging in harassment" is not an editorial position.

Twitter can remove a verification from anyone for whatever reason it wants. It says as much in the first sentence of the notice.

Twitter has assumed an editorial position in the past, by disabling journalist’s accounts to prune the narrative. It just gets free reign now under the pretext of “humanizing” the platform ... much like what “National security” and “Terrorism” did to the Agency or Secret Service

I’d be more curious to see which of the verified accounts loose their “badge of honor”...for they may be the outliers (likely, if not surely) one need to follow after all. Fun fact: Some of the very best accounts I follow, are unverified!
