Once upon a time, corporations sought advantage by championing right-leaning politics. Now they seek advantage by championing left-leaning politics. The reason for this is that lobbying governments has become less effective than lobbying the general public.
A rightist policy advocates for more corporate freedom. And of course PR isn't going to replace lobbying; the point was that PR is now a form of public lobbying.

Didn't seem to be your meaning. Seemed like your meaning was that PR using leftist ideals has become profitable, more so than lobbying.

It's more profitable for a company to advocate left-leaning values than right-leaning ones, which is why, say, tech giants do so. Would love to continue conversation, but don't have time to keep clarifying myself, so if you still don't agree, then just assume that I'm wrong.
