We really need to stop using the words "post-factual" & "post-truth". They imply that life was once factual, when actually human beings have always prioritized utility over truth. The only reason our age seems so dishonest is that we've become much better at recognizing bullshit.
Yes, it's often used to describe Trump, because, as you said, he has a total disregard for the truth. In my opinion, this can more accurately be described as serial dishonesty than post-truth, because it's not like Trump doesn't believe in gravity, for instance.

I don't think post-truthism requires a rejection of objective reality, just a general disregard for the importance of facts or evidence.

For example, Trump likely believes in an objective reality, he just isn't bothered much if his statements contradict that reality.
