If you're talking about Gordon Brown, he got *annihilated* for his gaffes. So did Ed Miliband. It's got nothing to do with race/gender.

Of course there are racists/misogynists. There always will be. But they're a tiny minority, and the hatred Abbot gets from the country *at large* is a result of her idiocy and flagrant hypocrisy, not her race, else we'd see similar leveled at, say, Chuka Umunna.
