If it was not a security issue, and if it didn't cause health problems and provoke anti-Muslim bigotry, I would agree 100%. But sometimes the government needs to step in to ensure the safety of its own citizens.

The government should have minimal power to affect such things, but sometimes it's necessary, as I mentioned. Some people are too stupid to take care of themselves, and in these situations they should be given a helping hand. Wouldn't you try to stop someone jumping off a bridge?
