If it was not a security issue, and if it didn't cause health problems and provoke anti-Muslim bigotry, I would agree 100%. But sometimes the government needs to step in to ensure the safety of its own citizens.

And as someone who lives among many people who wear burqas, I know how difficult it makes life for them, and particularly how much abuse they receive for it. If you'd seen the divisions that this style of dress imposes on communities, you'd want to see it banned too.

No, because that is prejudiced against stupid people. Some people screw their lives up because they don't know any better. If we leave everyone to their own devices, stupid people will be disproportionately harmed. That's basically the law of the jungle.
