Good. The burqa hampers vision and movement, interferes with vitamin D production, complicates simple things like eating, makes its wearers targets of widespread prejudice, poses a security risk, looks utterly shit, and doesn't even have a basis in Islamic scripture.https://twitter.com/Independent/status/916288076032479232 …
I've already researched this in depth, because I'm writing about it. The health issues are not just about vitamin D but also about heat stroke and inability to exercise.

Or to articulate general case: do we REALLY want to give government license to forbid what's dangerous to us THAT WE CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES?
-
The government should have minimal power to affect such things, but sometimes it's necessary, as I mentioned. Some people are too stupid to take care of themselves, and in these situations they should be given a helping hand. Wouldn't you try to stop someone jumping off a bridge?

It's a medically weak argument--and LEGALLY weaker. Would you propose government regulation of clothes EVERYONE can wear, to prevent those?
-
There are already regulations on clothes for everyone. You can't cover your face in a bank or an airport or a courtroom or an emergency room
