Who said we were talking about precariats, or white people only in the UK? I'm talking about all white people. It's safe to say that the majority of white Europeans in this world earn less than what they earn in the US or UK.
So, privilege itself is not the problem. Selfishness is the problem. Would you say that's a neat conclusion to draw?

No, because the unprivileged can be selfish but don't yield the same power

But selfishness from anyone is harmful, whereas privilege from everyone is not harmful (cf. philanthropists like Bill Gates).
