1. Then what is? 2. The left is a broad political movement that seeks to transform societies into ones that are more equitable. 3. "The man" is not white men.

1. MOST white are not in low income jobs. 2. That's a traditional definition. Identity politics is also considered "left" 3. Agree entirely

You're going to have to provide evidence of your first point for this discussion to progress.

From my end, precariats the natural successors of the proletariats, constitute 10-15% of the U.K. Population. That's not most

Who said we were talking about precariats, or white people only in the UK? I'm talking about all white people. It's safe to say that the majority of white Europeans in this world earn less than what they earn in the US or UK.

I don't have enough insight to talk about all white people. I withdraw myself from that discussion.

But I'm sure you'd agree with the premise of my argument -- that the overwhelming majority of white men are not to blame for society's ills, and thus the left should cut them some slack and cease entrenching social divisions by framing problems as black v white or male v female.

I agree that most white men aren't to blame & labeling them as the cause is unhelpful. Their institutions however: https://bullshit.ist/racism-in-america-a-classic-tale-of-rich-against-the-poor-eebabdefb27b?source=linkShare-a5cf2acf5f62-1507143815 …

Not even their institutions are to blame. Human nature is to blame. If blacks or Asians were the ascendant race, they'd form the same kinds of institutions and behave just the same, as history has repeatedly shown.

I thought we're talking about white people. Sure, you can replace white for Brahmins in India etc. this debate is getting too broad.

The debate *is* broad. This is my point. To simplify it as a fairy tale about the evils of whiteness, as the left tends to do, is both false and harmful.

It's the evil of privilege and their corrupt institutions. Generalized blaming on all sides is harmful. Is that general enough?

Your second sentence I agree with completely, but it kind of contradicts your first, which I think is too general because privilege could mean anything. I mean, are you and I not privileged, sitting here on Twitter? Does that make us evil? Should we give up all our money?
