If girls won't enter STEM due to misogyny, don't mollycoddle them by cutting free speech. Instead, teach girls to give as good as they get.
I do not find the memo to be bigoted. Nowhere does it say all women hate STEM, just that statistical patterns exist.

While I agree that the way the memo was disseminated was ill-judged, it has clearly been misconstrued by a large segment of the populace.

Well, this may be true but these problems existed in tech long before the memo was written--and they are real. Memo is just a flashpoint.
