      Gurindoor Retweeted Elon Musk

We idolize those who excel in a particular field, giving them the hubris to mislead themselves & others on matters they know little about. Musk’s sci-fi novel quote may be wise in response to a terrorist attack, but as a reaction to a pandemic it’s not just idiotic but deadly.https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1239031946962808832 …

Fear wrecks havoc with the immune system, which is still the best defender we have against any viral defender.

Fear also ensures you take every precaution against getting infected. It's a trade-off I'd take any day.

How do you know that not being afraid and exponentially spreading the virus wouldn't do more harm to the economy?

I don’t but one is certain and the other isn’t...of the active cases in the US, how many are critical?

Viruses grow exponentially, so present situations are a poor predictor of future situations. If the US is making poor decisions now, they will seem fine now but will reveal themselves to be catastrophic in future. Case study: Italy, Iran.

Perhaps. But you can’t live afraid and we’re already increasingly isolated. To me the focus should be on: not eating bats and such things, common sense hygiene and perhaps most importantly boosting one’s immune system, eating healthy, getting enough rest, quitting smoking, etc.
