I find the article interesting and timely, though I'd note some of the video game vs real life connections are 100% non-predictive. First and foremost, "I got the plague for the experience."

Pervasive unregulated home brew biohacking seem inevitable as the tech becomes increasingly accessible. My gut tells me this is too dangerous but I could also imagine a panacea of innovation that might kickstart a post-pathogenic era.
