Since censorship can only occur when the censor has more power than the censored, it is always about preserving the power structures of the status quo, and is therefore contrary to the defining tenets of leftism.

This is not a contemporary paradox. George Orwell’s Animal Farm illustrated this with extreme clarity. Leftism is in itself a paradox.
